He began his journalism career in 2011 in the local Ashdod press before joining Israel Hayom in 2016.
Born in Ashdod, Yaish is currently based in Tel Aviv. He has a Bachelor's degree in political science from Bar-Ilan University.
In 2018, he was the first to report that two Israeli tourists were abducted by a drug cartel in Colombia. They were ultimately saved by their guide, who was also held hostage for two days. Her body was found two days later.
