The power-sharing proposal Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed on Thursday died on arrival, despite it being a good plan.
Why? Because of the Left's cynicism. Minutes after Netanyahu made his proposal public, Twitter became inundated with spin.

The chattering class on twitter made it impossible for Blue and White to even consider the merits of the plan or, God forbid, convene its top officials to actually discuss it. Instead, because of the Twitterati, Blue and White had to reject it outright.
Netanyahu's plan does actually offer a way out from the political gridlock that has emerged from the Sept. 17 election.
The plan basically says that both sides will work together on matters where they agree – national security and various domestic programs – but keep the status quo on religious matters and other hot-button issues.
The plan stipulates that major decisions on the areas of consensus will be put on hold for at least a year so that the two sides can iron out their differences on controversial matters.
Everyone knows that a third early election is very much on the table. No one is going to show any compromise on religious matters if another election can be called at any moment, fearing their words will become a sound bite. Netanyahu's plan can help allay these concerns.
Of course, the provisions of the plan are not perfect as far as Blue and White is concerned, but neither do they give Likud voters all of what they want.
This is the meaning of compromise: Both sides need to make concessions.
But for now, it seems that no one wants to talk, only mock and taunt.
