Reporter Raviv Drucker, who works for one of Israel's TV channels, said something true, and we should take note of it. He said that he and his friends want to influence Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial. This is not a report about an ongoing proceeding, but about an attempt to influence judges and society as a whole. There is a law against attempting to influence legal proceedings. But cooperation between the prosecution, the media, and the courts has made the criminal act into a dead letter.

Former Chief Justice Aharon Barak opined that judges were "susceptible" to ill winds blowing from the media. But that doesn't convince those who are part of the attempt to replace Israel's government.
The fake media has received an emergency call-up to topple the right-wing government. Night after night, Drucker and his many friends don't try to promote ideas, a path, or a vision. Their only goal is to express their obsessive, psychopathic hatred that boils down to "Anyone but Bibi." I know journalists who were raised under Stalin, Hashomer Hatzair, and failed socialism. Nothing remains of the ideology except distilled hate.
Yair Lapid, Benny Gantz, and Gideon Sa'ar are supporting actors in a vicious battle for control of the country – a battle between well-oiled propaganda machines known as media outlets and Benjamin Netanyahu and the Right, one that even plays out at the public's expense. Every "politinist" (politician-journalist) knows that none of those three is qualified to lead the country at this time, but they don't care. They are willing to bet the fate of the nation and run one of them so just as long as they can open a bottle of champagne in the studio as soon as exit polls are out. For the last few elections, the fake analysts and left-wing anchors haven't been able to hide their glum expressions when the candidates they backed night after night failed. I think that in the upcoming election, they'll need a huge amount of makeup to hide their shame and their failure.
Gantz caused pain and suffering to many politinists, who saw him as a winning card in the last election. They pumped him up, invested in him, and eventually he joined Netanyahu, whom they hate – a comet that turned into a galaxy that they expect to disappear into a political black hole.
The media is now pinning its "new hope" on Sa'ar, a man who in the distant past was on the Right and who crossed over. For a moment, it appears as if no less a leader than Winston Churchill had appeared among us. The studios were full of flattery and lip-licking. But the wise Israelis quickly realized what the media was scheming to do.
They were left with Lapid, a likeable guy, the product of the media guild and a senior member of it. The propagandists never asked him tough questions and aren't making things difficult for him. They know that no one will give them meaningful answers on existential issues. They don't care who answers emergency phone calls to the prime minister in the middle of the night. If they aren't in power, they care far less about the country. The result is that a clear majority of the people have lost faith in the media that sows nothing but despair and depression. The watchdog of democracy is hurting democracy. Under the guise of freedom of expression, a campaign is being waged to put the old elite, which is crumbling in the public's opinion, back in power.
We can only hope that after the election, the media of hatred and depression will take a look at itself and realize that it has a major role to play in our democracy, and not as propaganda outlets for a small clique. This time, like so many times in the past, the Right will beat the media and continue to lead the country to impressive achievements. A full right-wing government will add unity and responsibility for one another, and the slogan of hate "Anyone but Bibi" will vanish.
