Terrorists in suits

The EU announcement that it intends to continue funding Palestinian civil society organizations affiliated with terrorist groups legitimizes the phenomenon by which terrorists present themselves as human rights activists.

In response to the EU's announcement that it intends to continue funding Palestinian civil society organizations even if they support or are in contact with terror groups, the Ministry for Strategic Affairs published today its "Blood Money" report.

The report reveals the system used by Palestinian organizations with connections to terror groups while focusing on a test case: the Addameer organization.

The EU announcement legitimizes the "terrorists in suit" phenomenon, which the Ministry revealed a year ago. These are terrorists who present themselves as human rights activists in order to raise funds when in reality their activities are directed by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Hamas.

In defiance of any practical logic, the EU announcement legitimizes their duplicity and supplies terror with a credit line. This is a dangerous line to be crossed, for two main reasons: Firstly, due to the low Palestinian transparency concerning the use of funds. And secondly, which is unequivocal according to the data that we have - the funds are directed towards severe delegitimization efforts against Israel, managed according to the agenda of terror organizations, and for fighting against Israel also with soft weapons, both legal and conscientious.

The report shows how Addameer, a Palestinian NGO, has implemented the agenda of a terror organization, and how it was funded by EU states unhindered.

Addameer is a prominent example of the "terrorist in suits" method. Besides the suits, the organization works to delegitimize and boycott Israel and to release terrorists belonging to the terrorist organization, the PFLP. Over the past few years, the organization received more than two million Euros from European states and organizations, including the Swiss Foreign Ministry.

Alongside the terrorism, the organization's accountant up unto 2017, Samer Arabid, commanded after leaving his job a terror squad of the Popular Front that murdered Rina Shnerb last August. At this time, when European states are interested in helping Palestinian organizations battle coronavirus, their funds should not be used for the opposite of the purpose it was given - death instead of life.
