Will the Palestinians' indoctrination elicit protests?

Most of the folks demonstrating in support of the Palestinians wouldn't be doing so if they couldn't blame the Palestinians' suffering on Israel.

Multitudes of people around the world have gone out onto the streets to protest the loss of Palestinian lives during the current Israel-Hamas war. I'm betting virtually none of these people were out in the streets demonstrating against Hamas when the terrorist group ruthlessly and methodically murdered 1,400 people, mostly Jewish civilians, in southern Israel.

Moreover, most of the folks demonstrating in support of the Palestinians wouldn't be doing so if they couldn't blame the Palestinians' suffering on Israel. To make a long story short, pro-Palestinian demonstrators don't care when Jewish lives are lost and only care about Palestinian lives lost when they can blame the Jews.

Ironically, inasmuch as pro-Palestinian demonstrators say they value the lives of Palestinians, the Palestinians themselves don't put much value on their own lives. In fact, in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Palestinians believe that it is better to die killing Jews than it is to live a long, fruitful life and contribute to the betterment of humanity. The Palestinians even have a popular slogan that goes, "We love death like our enemies love life."

In the press nowadays, there are plenty of pictures of Palestinians crying over their dead, but if those Palestinians died murdering Jews, their families wouldn't be mourning. They'd be celebrating. Indeed, getting killed while trying to slaughter Jews is considered the highest honor one can aspire to in Palestinian society. When a Palestinian dies murdering Jews, there is no mourning. There is only celebration. Palestinians pass out candies in the streets. A school or other civic building is named after the "martyred" Palestinian. Children are taught to honor and emulate him. They may even trade "baseball cards" with his likeness, along with cards featuring pictures of other terrorists.

Indoctrination in the Palestinian culture of death starts at a very young age. It begins by teaching children that the Jews are a barbarous, treacherous people that stole Palestinian land. The average Palestinian child is fed a steady diet of antisemitic hatred every day. Palestinian children are taught from a school curriculum that is filled with antisemitic stereotypes and lessons on why Jews deserve nothing but death. Children's TV shows and even math lessons contain messages that can instill in a child the urge to murder Jews.

As Palestinian children grow up, they learn that the best thing that they can aspire to achieve is martyrdom. And the best form of martyrdom? Dying while trying to kill Jews. Palestinian children even have a game they call "Stab a Jew" in which they act out stabbing a Jewish person.

During the summer months, many Palestinian children, like other children in the world, attend summer camp–  but not the kind where kids play sports or learn valuable life skills. The Palestinians have a very different version of summer camp. For them, the camps are places where children receive military training, including the use of firearms. And who are they taught to shoot at? Take a wild guess.

Palestinians frequently allow, and even encourage, their children to take part in clashes with Israeli soldiers despite the mortal danger of doing so. This is how 16-year old Palestinian Jana Zakarneh was killed. In December last year, Zakarneh was accidentally shot by IDF troops while filming a gunman fighting Israeli troops. Evidence from her phone shows that it wasn't the first time she was allowed to put herself in harm's way to film terrorists fighting Israeli soldiers. In fact, she did it on a regular basis.

Pro-Palestinians often cite the number of children killed in the current war as evidence of Israel's brutality. But what they really should be protesting is the use of children and other civilians as human shields by Hamas, which frequently places their terrorist infrastructure in or near civilian structures like schools and hospitals.

When the average Palestinian grows up, he learns that dying while trying to kill Jews isn't just the highest honor he can aspire to. It is also the most lucrative opportunity in Palestinian society. Indeed, the Palestinian Authority provides generous monthly salaries for Palestinians who kill Jews. The more Jews they kill, the higher the reward, up to $4,000 per month – three times the average Palestinian wage. Why should a Palestinian aspire to a career where he could meaningfully contribute to the betterment of society when he is taught that it is better and more lucrative to die slaughtering Jews?

If the people demonstrating around the world in support of the Palestinians truly cared about the Palestinians, they would not be protesting Israel's campaign to rid the Gaza Strip of Hamas. After all, Hamas is one of the foremost promoters of the Palestinian death culture. Instead, the demonstrators would be supporting Israel and calling on Palestinians to reject the culture of death promoted by their leaders.
