The Kristallnacht or "Night of Broken Glass" events of Nov. 9 1938, darkened the lights for the European Jewry, heralding the Holocaust, the greatest crime against humanity ever perpetrated.
When Jews marked Kristallnacht's 82nd anniversary last week Christiane Amanpour, CNN's chief international anchor decided to compare Donald Trump's presidency to the Nazis' Jew-hating 1938 "Kristallnacht escapade."

That was no slip of the tongue. Clearly, Amanpour is an unhinged Leftist reporter. The Left in the United States has compared President Trump to Hitler and other evildoers. Now Amanpour compares his presidency to Kristallnacht? Such tropes are not only vicious and do not stand for an iota of truth, they are also a clear indication that the Left and their media henchmen have gone off the rails. They have lost control of the ability to think clearly and their behavior is neither normal nor acceptable.
Considering that Amanpour universalized Kristallnacht and never pointed out that the victims of those brutal two days pogrom were Jews, her remarks were egregious and most offensive to Jews.
Like Amanpour, when her colleagues on the ideological-political Left compare President Trump and his administration to Hitler, Nazis and Kristallnacht they cheapen the meaning of these unfathomable crimes against humanity, in general, and the systematic murder of six million Jews, in particular.
Amanpour has an Israel bias slant. Her journalism's reportage on Israel and the conflict with the Arabs is imperfect and rather questionable. Amanpour twists the news to such an extent that the average viewer in Middle America gets a distorted picture of what is really going on in the Middle East. What is more disconcerting, she doesn't attempt to hide her bias, rather, she projects in your face anti-Israel dislike.
Amanpour's bias and anti-Israel attacks are stomach-turning. Hopefully, ultimately, the American people will realize that her Left-leaning network news do not present a fair and balanced reporting, especially on the Middle East.
For a long time, Amanpour has been ignoring the Jewish people's history in the land of Israel. She has also been distorting Israel's role in the conflict with the Arabs.
Andrea Levin, the director of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America documented, CNN/Amanpour's God's Jewish Warriors: The Six-Day War production in which Amanpour looks back at the 1967 conflict.
The two-hour production – one of the most malicious, biased and factually shoddy features to air on mainstream American television in recent memory – defamed Israel and falsely claimed that Jews living in their historic land are violating international law. She also compares religious Jews and Christians to Islamic terrorists.
Amanpour has a long history of close ties with Iran. She has often acted as the Mullahs in Tehran mouthpiece, directly and indirectly promoting their antagonistic agenda against Israel and the United States.
On Nov. 15, 2020, Minister of Diaspora Affairs Omer Yankelevich demanded an apology from Amanpour saying that CNN "should be a partner in the global effort to fight anti-Semitism and not fuel the fire."
Yet Jewish organizations have remained mum on this latest incident. They are all about "social justice" but not for Jews. Only the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) demanded that CNN fire Amanpour for her despicable, absurd analogy of Trump's Administration to Nazis' Kristallnacht.
Had Amanpour made an anti-black or anti-Muslim analogy, I am certain many organizations would have demanded her dismissal for spreading "hate and incitement."
On Nov. 16 Amanpour apologized for her appalling comparison, saying she "regretted any pain" she caused and admitted, "I should not have juxtaposed the two thoughts."
Enough has been written about Amanpour's notorious falsehoods about Israel and the Jewish people she has spewed and spread for years.

Although she apologized for the fiasco she has created, the comparison of President Trump's administration to the Kristallnacht pogrom against the Jews of Germany was no accident.
If Amanpour was a conservative, a huge campaign for CNN to fire her would be growing. If CNN had any moral compass remaining, perhaps she would be sacked.
