The organizers of the "March of Return" from Gaza announced that on Friday, April 13, protesters will burn Israeli flags near flashpoints along the Gaza-Israel border and hoist the flags of "Palestine."
How symbolic that this is the date the Palestinians have chosen to burn our flags. On April 8, 1933 the Germans decided to burn Jewish books, which they said "threaten the German spirit." On May 10, 1933, under orders from Joseph Goebbels, over 20,000 books written by Jews were torched.
Indeed, the subsequent marking of Jewish stores with Stars of David and the Kristallnacht were harbingers of the Jewish genocide in Europe.
To be sure, observers of history now look mockingly upon European leaders who choose to harm Israel, after their fathers, just yesterday, led Jews to the crematoria. Leaders of the gradually Islamizing continent who identify with our enemies are trying to handcuff Israel with the "proportionality" argument. Senior European Union officials, such as foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, suffer from anti-Semitic "migraines" and attempt to "purify" themselves by insinuating our approach to the Palestinians means we are "Nazis" like their fathers before them.
As a response to the swarm of terrorists descending on our border, the self-righteous Europeans are demanding "proportionality" from Israel while ignoring the genocide currently taking place in Syria. In their view, we are not using "proportionate" force, because in their wars they wiped entire cities off the face of the earth. Therefore, if "proportionality" is the requirement for deterring the enemy from pursuing terror, in light of Palestinian aggression we should hit them twice as hard.
The "March of Return" demonstrations offer far more questions than answers. Hamas has been soundly defeated on every terrorist front it has chosen to open against Israel. Therefore, in its desperation, it has essentially chosen to sacrifice its own people in a hopeless battle, at a going market price of $3,000 per shahid ("martyr"), just so the "Crusader" West can take pity on the Islamist organization, the puppet of Iran, and protect it.
To put an end to this march of absurdity, it's possible the Egyptians will open the Rafah border crossing, the Palestinian Authority will lift sanctions and Israel will increase the flow of goods into the strip.
In their weekly sermons, the imams of Hamas – which refuses to disarm – recount the legacy of the prophet Muhammad's first followers, who fled to Habash after being persecuted by the infidels of Mecca.
In the Quran, however, Allah eternally bestows the land of Israel to the Jews and, lo and behold, the Palestinians aren't mentioned there. Hamas' idiotic attempt to flood Israel with murderous marauders – after blundering in war and in terror, missiles and tunnels – is a fight against the will of Allah and is destined to fail.
Hamas' heretics, however, insist: No to partitioning the land, no to citizenship in other Arab countries, and no to compensation. Their demand is absolute: return to "Palestine" and completely uproot the Jews. Perhaps Breaking the Silence will change their minds through direct negotiations?
History teaches us that wherever the Palestinians have resided – Kuwait, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon – they have betrayed their hosts and spilled blood.
The "March of Return" is not antithetical to Hamas' doctrine of terror. It is simply a new avenue, desperate and parallel to its other failed attempts.
While Arabs murder their brethren throughout the region and the Palestinians continue assassinating one another, the hypocrites among us argue the "March of Return" is a winning card and that Israel should utilize the opportunity – to commit suicide in a peaceful manner.
Under the shadow of Iran's threats to annihilate us, their Palestinian proxy has decided to burn our Star of David flags. Palestinian Holocaust deniers, those who yearn for the days of the Nazi Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, who raised the swastika near our border, have adopted "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." Similar to their Iranian masters who burn Israeli and American flags, the Palestinians will burn our flags Friday as part of some voodoo ritual – whereby Pagans and infidels maim and kill their enemies by poking and burning dolls resembling them.
This is a head-on collision between the Palestinians' genocidal ambition and Israel's existence. Some Palestinians boast that Antarah ibn Shaddad (a hero in Arab tradition) had the advantage of being able to suffer more pain than his enemies; our nation, however, has an eternity of strength. While they wallow amid the ashes of their burned tires, we are solidifying our roots in our country. In light of the humanitarian crisis Hamas has inflicted on the people of Gaza, the curse of Yasser Arafat is now coming to fruition: "Whoever likes it, can like it, and whoever doesn't, can drink from the sea [and sewage] of Gaza."
