It is not difficult to understand the Iranian regime's positions regarding what is happening in the Middle East, and the issue here is not what is happening in Gaza. The terrorist Hamas may, in the end, be nothing but the "cat's paw" that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard uses to change the geostrategic map regionally, according to what its leaders believe.

To understand the positions and backgrounds of the Iranian position, we can follow some of the statements of Iranian leaders and officials, including the statement of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, in which he rejected accusations about his country's involvement in Hamas' terrorist attacks against Israel.
Raisi said in a televised interview: "We are making active efforts to support the Palestinians and the resistance, but the resistance forces in Palestine and throughout the region are independent." Raisi added: "They make their own decisions and do not receive any orders from Tehran."
His Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian considered that linking any attack in the region or any targeting of American interests by any group linked to Iran without evidence is wrong. The minister stated, "They do not receive orders from us. They act according to their interests."
In discussing this point of view, there are several questions, the first of which is what do Iranian leaders mean by the independence of organizations that they finance and supply with weapons and equipment?
Secondly, what are the real "interests" that could stand behind the "Houthi" launching, for example, missiles or drone weapons from Yemen towards Israel? Why did Hezbollah decide to engage in the Gaza conflict after about a month of crisis?
Everyone knows that Iran leads what it calls the "resistance axis," so how can the parties or branches of the axis act or move without guidance from its leadership, and what is the secret of Ismail Haniyeh's visit to Iran at the height of the crisis? Then, what is the secret behind his talk at the beginning of the crisis about external support that would lead to changing history in our region?
All of the above are questions whose answers are almost known in advance. If we cast aside all of the above and accept for the sake of argument the Iranian point of view that regional militias are independent, then what is the interpretation of the warning that came from the commander Iranian Revolutionary Guard Major General Hossein Salami, that if the Israelis launch a ground attack in Gaza, "they will be buried there," and why Salami and the rest of the Iranian officials want to empty the Palestinian issue of its national character, as they gave it a religious character by saying, "It is a mistake for the enemies to imagine that Muslims will stand idly by while these crimes continue." He then added: "We will continue our path for the sake of the dignity of Islam and Muslims, as the Islamic world enjoys strength today."
The attempt to drag the Islamic world into the Gaza war, and Iran's attempt to portray itself as the leader of the world's Muslims, is nothing but trading in the blood of innocent children, women, and defenseless men in Gaza.
All that is going on is an unfortunate game through which Iran wants to amend the rules of the Middle Eastern game, end the peace process, and abort attempts to normalize Saudi-Israeli relations, or at least freeze them for an indefinite period.
Unfortunately, this is what Iran has relatively succeeded in doing, as it has become difficult to resume efforts to normalize relations between the two countries, at least in the foreseeable future.
This Iranian absurdity heralds the outbreak of a third world war starting in the Middle East, as Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko put it. The Iranian president stated in his statements that his country would not respond to American warnings regarding intervention in the Gaza conflict, while his office considered that "Israel has crossed all red lines, and this "It will prompt any party to take retaliatory steps."
Whether these warnings are serious or not, it is difficult for the security and stability of the Middle East region to depend on the whims of Iran and its regional agents.
It is enough that the entire region held its breath waiting for Hassan Nasrallah's speech, which was announced several days before. The newspaper Haaretz even said that the number of viewers of the speech of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah exceeded the number of viewers of the two most-watched soccer matches combined!
There is no doubt that blood is flowing in Gaza and the real strategic conflict is being managed from Tehran. The buttons controlling the behavior of the regional terrorist militia are located in the control rooms of the Revolutionary Guards, and everyone knows these facts, most notably the United States, which does not want to acknowledge Iran's responsibility and involvement in everything that is happening. So that they do not have to confront them militarily, and the Iranians know how reluctant the current American administration is to wage any direct war, with them or with others, not to mention the pressures of the American electoral race, which represents a vital element in President Biden's positions and decisions, and therefore we must expect more regional escalation. Iran seeks to confuse the accounts of all regional and international parties so that it will forget to extract the maximum possible strategic gains from what is happening around it.
