The Israel Meteorological Service has officially joined the European initiative for naming significant weather events, announcing "Coral" as the designation for an exceptional cold wave approaching Israel.
Heading into Friday, temperatures will drop significantly – raising the possibility of snow in parts of the country, particularly in the higher northern mountains.
Weather officials have urged residents to take necessary precautions. Wind gusts could reach speeds of up to 62 mph from sunrise through 11:00 a.m. local time, with even more powerful gusts anticipated during Thursday morning.
