Only after Sheldon Adelson passed away did Yedidya Meir realize that he had unfairly treated the great Jewish philanthropist and Zionist advocate. An apology.

History will record Sheldon Adelson as the greatest philanthropist in Jewish history. But those who had the privilege to know him will recall his massive, joyous and caring heart. So special, so memorable and so unusual.

They say of Sheldon Adelson that he was the richest Jew in the world but In my humble opinion, he was the richest Jew in many generations, because everything that he gave was his. That which is his, cannot be taken away from him. He gave wholeheartedly.

Sheldon Adelson was a visionary who supported the Beresheet space project. We will forge on in is memory.

Time and time again, he gave us hope, vision, determination, and strength, and at every opportunity, took care to emphasize the academic importance inherent in a university such as ours.
