The former prime minister said that during his mediation, the Russian president dropped his vow to seek Ukraine's disarmament and Zelenskyy promised not to join NATO.

"Any attempts – implemented or even unrealized but announced – for the supply of additional, new or some other weapons will lead to an escalation of this crisis," says Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

Announcement comes as international reluctance to send tanks to the battlefront against the Russians begins to erode.
