"They make a deal, and then they back out," US President Donald Trump said Saturday night as he addressed contacts with Iran during a Halloween event at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. His remarks came amid a Wall Street Journal report that he had spoken with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about a possible American strike. The president also addressed the flight to the US of Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro, saying he can stay in the country "as long as he wants."
Trump told reporters, "They will never have a nuclear weapon. They want to make a deal." Asked how the negotiations were progressing, he replied, "Well, but they are not very reliable. They make a deal and then they back out. We'll see if they make a deal."

"We're not in that much of a hurry"
Trump said, "We're not in that much of a hurry from the standpoint that we've knocked down their Navy, we've knocked out their air force, we've knocked out their anti-aircraft," and added that only a small number of nuclear sites remain undestroyed. "I would say one or two sites, but we can do that in ten minutes."
Trump's remarks came after the Wall Street Journal reported that Netanyahu and the US president spoke by phone on Saturday morning. The subject of the call was not specified. The Journal stressed that it took place amid US preparations to resume strikes on Iran.
Speaking to reporters, Trump also addressed Bolsonaro's flight to the US, saying he can stay in the country "as long as he wants." At the Halloween event at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Trump added that he has no plans to meet with Bolsonaro, who fled to Miami after losing the election to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Brazil's president, and refusing to recognize the results.
