Sundor, part of the El Al group, announced Tuesday that it will operate direct flights to Marrakech, Morocco, this coming winter. The flights will run twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays, with round-trip fares starting at $599 for a LITE fare (a basic ticket including only a small trolley bag and carry-on luggage). The first flight is scheduled to take off on November 16, 2026, pending final regulatory approvals. The flight time will run up to six hours each way.
A cold night, a pleasant day
Marrakech is a winter destination, a desert city with pleasant daytime weather that makes it well suited for travel during the colder months. In December, for example, temperatures in the city range from 6°C (43°F) at night to 22°C (72°F) during the day. The city combines lively markets, local art, palaces and stunning gardens alongside an authentic atmosphere of color and flavor. Beyond the city itself, Marrakech serves as a gateway to Morocco, a country that stands out from familiar destinations, offering a rich culture, diverse landscapes and unforgettable experiences, from the snow-capped Atlas Mountains to desert scenery, from traditional villages to striking, colorful cities.

This coming winter Sundor will operate flights to 13 destinations, among them Larnaca and Paphos (Cyprus), Batumi and Tbilisi (Georgia), Tirana (Albania), Chisinau (Moldova), Belgrade (Serbia), Warsaw and Krakow (Poland), Salzburg (Austria), Lyon (France), Verona (Italy) and, as noted, direct flights to Marrakech (Morocco).
Flight tickets can be booked through the El Al website and through travel agents. Frequent flyer club members earn points and diamonds and can redeem them on Sundor flights in accordance with El Al's policy.
"We are happy to expand and diversify Sundor's destination map for the Israeli public for the upcoming winter," said Sundor's CEO from the El Al group, Gal Gershon. "In line with demand, we will operate direct flights to Marrakech, an exotic city, full of markets, a fascinating culture and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Marrakech joins our winter destinations, which offer a range of options for a short vacation abroad, trips through stunning landscapes, ski vacations, markets, shopping and cuisine."
