Exclusive: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has been ordered to present by Thursday a plan that aligns with the demands raised by cabinet ministers during Tuesday night's meeting regarding humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Although Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not participate in the argument between ministers and the chief of staff, he informed the military representatives just minutes before the meeting ended that they were expected to submit a comprehensive and suitable plan.
During the session, the IDF presented a briefing that ran counter to the ministers' demand to allow humanitarian aid. Defense Minister Israel Katz reiterated his position that no aid should be allowed into Gaza under the current circumstances and that, in the future, any such aid must be delivered exclusively via civilian companies.

The cabinet session was marked by heated exchanges. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich directly confronted the new chief of staff, criticizing his handling of the war. Zamir, for his part, rejected all alternative proposals concerning changes in the distribution of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, including the use of American companies or direct IDF coordination, stating that aid must be delivered to civilians.
Smotrich attacked Zamir, saying, "You don't get to choose your missions. Anyone who can't carry out their tasks will be replaced." He also lashed out at Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar after Bar made a remark during the meeting, saying: "Let's get some order in who's speaking. He can talk for three minutes under the High Court's protection."
