Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya hinted Thursday evening that the terrorist organization is poised to officially reject Israel's latest proposal. According to him, "Netanyahu responded to the mediators' proposal with an offer that included impossible conditions, and that does not bring about an end to the war or a withdrawal from the Gaza Strip." He further accused Netanyahu of using partial agreements as a cover for his agenda to continue the war.
Nevertheless, al-Hayya, who heads Hamas' negotiation team, stressed: "We are preparing our response to the Israeli proposal based on our national principles and in coordination with the other factions."
He added: "We are prepared to enter negotiations over a comprehensive package that includes the release of all captives held by the resistance in exchange for an agreed-upon number of Palestinian prisoners, and a complete cessation of hostilities."

Al-Hayya also addressed the appointment of Adam Boehler as special envoy for the hostage issue, saying he welcomed Boehler's position in support of "resolving the issue of the captives and the war together, as this aligns with Hamas' stance."
Meanwhile, senior Hamas official abroad Mahmoud Mardawi emphasized Thursday evening: "Any agreement must include a permanent ceasefire, a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, a dignified prisoner exchange deal, the lifting of the blockade, and the beginning of reconstruction efforts."
He clarified that "Hamas rejects any partial or temporary arrangement that could be used to entrench the occupation. Hamas stresses its commitment to the option of resistance by all means, especially arms, which is not up for discussion." Mardawi also said the terrorist organization is ready for dialogue with the Trump administration.
