In a renewed move against Iran, the US Treasury Department unveiled a new list of companies and individuals added to the sanctions circle on Tuesday, in a bid to hamper the Islamic Republic's ability to arm itself.
According to a report by Reuters, six Iran-linked entities and two individuals connected to the country's procurement network have been placed under sanctions and are now barred from engaging with any bodies tied to the US government.

The report states that the individuals and companies are located in Iran, China, and the United Arab Emirates, which Iran uses to launder parts of its military procurement operations and export goods in efforts to bypass American sanctions on its economy.
