According to a report by the American news agency AP, the Egyptian plan revealed in Israel Hayom proposes the return of five to six hostages, including Edan Alexander, an IDF soldier with American citizenship, in exchange for several weeks of a ceasefire, the entry of humanitarian aid, and a partial response to Israel's demand for the hostages' treatment.
However, as previously noted, Israel rejected a similar proposal last month. Israeli sources commented, "This is a proposal from five days ago."

Earlier today, it was reported that Egypt submitted a new proposal for a deal between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization that could bring the ceasefire back on track. Reuters reported the proposal last Friday, but did not disclose its details.
A Hamas official told AP the terrorist organization had "responded positively" to the proposal, which differs from the previous outline it had agreed to: the release of Idan Alexander, along with four dead hostages who hold American citizenship.

According to last Friday's Reuters report, officials in Cairo said the proposal includes an agreed timetable for the release of the hostages, along with a final date for a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, with US guarantees. The sources said the US had given an initial indication of approval, while Israeli officials stated that no official mediation offer had been received.
It's worth noting that a source quoted Monday in the Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed said the Egyptian proposal requires Hamas to provide detailed information on living hostages, the dead, and the wounded, including photographic evidence to support the information. However, this detail was not included in the AP report and has not been confirmed by other sources.
