Gal Gadot made history on Tuesday evening when she became the first Israeli to receive a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Gadot's star, number 2804 along the boulevard in front of the El Capitan Theatre, is positioned in a prime location near celebrities such as Jimmy Kimmel, Snoop Dogg, and Donald Duck. It was presented to her in an emotional ceremony attended by Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Steve Nissen, "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins, and longtime colleague from the "Fast and Furious" saga, Vin Diesel, who received his own star in 2013.
To thunderous applause from the crowd of fans who managed to drown out pro-Palestinian protesters yelling in the background, Nissen declared it "Gal Gadot Day" and introduced Gadot. Among the hundreds of people who came to honor her were colleagues and friends Shira Haas and Noa Tishby, agent Niv Efrat Cohen, and of course her husband, life and business partner Yaron Varsano and their daughters.

"Gal Gadot is one of Hollywood's most engaging and sought-after talents, and is the first Israeli actress to be honored with a star on the Walk of Fame," Nissen introduced her excitedly as he spoke about her skills not just as an actress but also as a successful businesswoman and philanthropist who takes part in various organizations and charities.
First to praise Gadot on stage was Vin Diesel, who excelled with warm words and described how Gadot became part of his family from the moment they met. "Angel Gal," he said at the beginning of his speech. "You're gonna hear a lot about this incredible actress, her accomplishments. What I'm gonna talk about is my family member, Gal Gadot."
"Gal was there when my daughter was born, and she was a part of me becoming a father. She was also a part of my son being born. And was just Auntie Gal to my kids. After Paul [Walker] left, Gal was the first one at my house to wipe my tears. I just love her so much."

After him, director Patty Jenkins, who directed Gadot in "Wonder Woman" and its sequel "Wonder Woman 1984," took the stage and said they became soul mates from the first moment. "I cried this morning. What an incredible honor," she said in an emotional voice as she thanked Vin Diesel. "Thank you, Vin, for bringing Gal into our lives. You may not realize how close Gal and I have become as well. We worked together hundreds and hundreds of days. Our friends have become super close family. We've traveled together. We lived together for a while during the pandemic. And we've been through all kinds of highs, lows, extreme efforts, absolute bliss."
"As my years as a director have taught me, there's very few movie stars. It's a real thing, you know. A lot of people come around this industry and they think like, oh, everybody could do it if they had their chance. No, they can't. It's a phenomenon to have somebody who can be your hero, your lover, your villain, your warrior. And always draw your eye, no matter where you go."
"When people think of actors, all they imagine is the glamour, and yet Gal has had the least glamorous job I can imagine, but has never stopped giving powerful performances, and somehow always being the happiest, kindest, most loving, most heroic person on the set. You never complain. She is Wonder Woman. She's the most wonderful, kind, gracious person. What a gift to have someone like that embody a hero. I'm so honored to have gotten to walk through this with someone who's really here to make the world a better place," she concluded.
Finally, an emotional Gadot took the stage and wanted to thank her family, fans, and everyone who helped her transform from that girl from Rosh Ha'ayin to a star receiving the coveted honor in Hollywood and real, official recognition as a star.

"This is very surreal for me, and I feel like I'm the luckiest woman right now," she admitted in a choked voice. "Standing here today on this street, Yaron, 15 years ago, we came here, and we were driving by this boulevard. Who would have ever thought that we would get such an honor? Thank you, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Thank you so much, Disney. I feel very, very humbled and grateful, and words cannot express this surreal feeling. I'm just a girl from a town in Israel, and I could never imagine such a moment."
"I never dreamt of becoming an actress, and I never knew that these things are possible, but it's crazy for me because this is going to last long after I'm out of here, and to me it's even more than any award because we can share it with the world. I'm not taking it home. This is for everybody, and I'm surrounded with such iconic names. I'm just overwhelmed with joy."
"You took a chance on a complete unknown and invited me to the Fast and the Furious family," she said to Diesel. "It was my first movie ever, and your faith in me completely changed my life. Thank you so much for your trust. Thank you for showing up."
"Patty," she turned emotionally to Jenkins, "you are my Wonder Woman behind the screen. I am so grateful the world has brought us together, and it really made me believe that, you know, everything happens for a reason. Your friendship is everything. You've always been my friend from the very first moment we met in this shady restaurant in Atlanta. Thank you for guiding me with such vision and so much heart."

Finally, she wanted to thank her fans and her nuclear family: "Thank you to my amazing fans. Without you, I wouldn't be standing here. I share this honor with you today. To all the young people, especially the young girls, if a girl from Rosh Ha'ayin can get a star on Hollywood Boulevard, anything is possible."
"To my family who are all watching – I love you. Thank you for always being there for me even when you're far away. You are always in my heart," she said in Hebrew and then turned to her husband – "The person who's been by my side, my husband Yaron – my rock, my compass, my warrior. When my success grew I was always pregnant," she joked and added: "No more babies. Yaron reminded me that I'm free to do whatever I want. This is yours as much as it is mine," she dedicated the star to him and finally mentioned their four daughters – Alma, Maya, Daniella, and Ori. "Being your Imma is the greatest privilege of anything I have ever done. You inspire me to be a better person, to be strong and brave and kind as you are."
