President Donald Trump shared a video Sunday night on TRUTH Social featuring freed hostage Keith Siegel, who was captured from Kfar Aza on October 7. In the video, Siegel thanks Trump for his release and calls for continued efforts to secure freedom for all remaining hostages.
Siegel, who holds US citizenship, was taken from Kibbutz Kfar Aza and released in early February as part of phase one of the hostage deal. In the video, filmed against the backdrop of destruction in Kfar Aza where he was captured, Siegel appeals to Trump to bring all hostages out of Gaza.
"I am the first American hostage released in the deal that you worked so hard to set in place. Thank you for doing everything you have done to get the hostages out of Gaza. I am now standing in front of a home in Kfar Aza, the kibbutz where I live. You can see the enormous destruction that Hamas did on the October 7th massacre. There are horrific stories that happened in Kfar Aza on that day. I want to say how urgent it is to get the hostages out of Gaza and back home to their families. Use your abilities to allow more progress in the hostage exchange deals. Thank you."
