Bronx Representative Ritchie Torres condemned the protesters for targeting Borough Park "simply because it is Jewish" and characterized the violence as inherent to the "Free Palestine" movement. The activist group End Jew Hatred also denounced the demonstration, describing the protesters as "Hamas apologists and supporters" who used support for Palestine as a pretext for targeting Jews.
