In a dramatic operation Monday morning near Sidon, an Israeli Air Force aircraft eliminated Muhammad Shaheen, who served as Hamas' senior commander in Lebanon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was testifying in his corruption trial at the time, received an envelope during the proceedings and asked to step outside. His office later confirmed that Netanyahu authorized the elimination operation in Lebanon while attending his court hearing.
On Saturday, an Israeli military aircraft eliminated Abbas Ahmad Hamoud, a key operative in Hezbollah's aerial unit, as part of Israel's ongoing efforts to prevent drone launches into its territory. The precision strike, conducted under Military Intelligence Directorate's direction, resulted in three fatalities and left three others wounded.

Arab media outlets reported that the operation was carried out using an Israeli drone that targeted a vehicle near the village of Jarjou in southern Lebanon.
