Israel's healthcare system is preparing to receive the bodies of several hostages before the next expected hostage release on Saturday, possibly as early as Thursday. The bodies will be transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir, Tel-Aviv, for identification.
The Israeli healthcare system have DNA samples and all necessary materials for identification, as these were collected from missing persons at the start of the war. Only after a definitive identification process will the families be formally notified. The process is expected to take several hours.

Earlier today, Professor Hagai Levine, head of the health division at the Hostages' Families Headquarters, told the Knesset Health Committee, "We are preparing to receive fallen individuals this week, which requires special arrangements."
