A high-profile Republican event in New York took a dramatic turn Sunday evening when Alex Bruesewitz, a 27-year-old strategist for Donald Trump's presidential campaign, collapsed while delivering a speech at the annual Young Republicans gala.
Bruesewitz was sharing the stage with key Trump allies, including former White House strategist Steve Bannon and former social media director Dan Scavino, at the 112th annual Young Republicans gala when the incident occurred.

During his address, Bruesewitz began showing visible signs of distress, his speech becoming increasingly disjointed. "I'm forgetting my words," the strategist suddenly announced during his remarks. He attempted to continue, managing to say "but the sham impeachment..." before gradually collapsing to the floor. Video footage captures attendees rushing to his aid amid gasps from the shocked audience.

While the exact cause of the collapse has not been determined, conservative commentator Jack Posobiec, who spoke with Bruesewitz backstage, characterized the incident as a "fainting spell."
Bruesewitz, the CEO of X Strategies, was brought onto Trump's campaign team last summer to assist with youth outreach and communications efforts. He has recently gained recognition for helping improve Trump's standing among younger voters.
