In response to recent developments in Syria, the IDF has bolstered its military presence on the Golan Heights to ensure the security of local residents. The deployment, initiated on Sunday, includes forces from Division 210. This deployment includes a paratrooper combat team positioning at key strategic positions in the buffer zone along the Syrian border.

In addition to the paratroopers, engineering, infantry, and armored units are operating in the region under the command of territorial brigades: the Golan Brigade (474) and the Mountain Brigade (810). The forces are strategically positioned to provide forward defense and to mitigate any potential threats to the local population.

Defense Minister Israel Katz issued immediate orders last night to secure the buffer zone and its key strategic positions. The directive also includes creating a security zone free of heavy strategic weaponry and terrorist infrastructure in southern Syria—beyond the buffer zone—that could pose a threat to Israel.
