President Donald J. Trump is already a living icon – facing several legal challenges, assassination attempts, endless media rumors about his personal and family life, opposition from many factions of the political spectrum, the New Yorker businessman emerged once again as the leader of the United States and the Free World. Trumpism is no longer (if it has ever been) an expression of political mockery – it rather symbolizes a powerful political movement which combines traditional Americanism (the defense of the values and traditions under which the US are built upon) with popularism (not populism), meaning the defense of popular sovereignty and the calibration of capitalism to promote national interests. In this sense, President-elect Donald Trump is an heir of Theodore Roosevelt's progressive conservatism, advocating for the forgotten men and women who feel that Trump's stardom and charisma are the right instruments to make their cause successful.
Even though his inner circle counts on several proud "national-conservative" members, President-elect Donald Trump does not subscribe to the basic assumptions of this ideology – on the contrary, the new leader of the Free World is essentially a pragmatist, who, likewise President Theodore Roosevelt, aims to adapt "Americanism" to the challenges of modern world.
Let's be honest: America is always great under both Democrat and Republican leadership. The backbone of the United States is the American People – and their commitment to Freedom, Republicanism and Democracy. That's why the US-Israel alliance is, quoting President Joe Biden, ironclad: it's based on common values and interests, a resolute commitment to defeat the enemies of Freedom, crash terrorism – and on the circumstance that both countries materialize ideals and biblical destinies. Therefore, there is no doubt that President Trump will be (for the second time) a champion for the US and Israel. Whether one likes him or aggressively despises him, everybody acknowledges that there will be always clear direction and well-defined endgame with Trump in the White House. Under President Trump's leadership, there is no ambiguity – the enemies of the US and Israel are to be mercilessly defeated. The tragic, yet well deserved, fate that Iranian terrorism mastermind Qassem Soleimani met during Trump's first term is an eloquent reminder for those who intend to mess around with the United States and its allies – Israel on top of them - going forward. The first officials appointed for Trump 2.0 Administration, especially in the realm of Intelligence and National Security, are pretty positive signs that President Trump is determined to leave his (ever-lasting) mark in the Middle East by deterring and punishing rogue actors spearheaded by the Iranian Ayatollahs regime. In fact, President Trump has learned from his first term in office - as well as by witnessing the Biden Administration's work – that the Abraham Accords, although representing a laudable quantum leap to bring peace to the region, will always be fragile as long as the evil Iranian Ayatollahs regime is let loose.
Governor Mike Huckabee knows it better than anyone else – which makes him the perfect fit to represent the United States in Jerusalem, the Eternal Capital of Israel, as stated by President Trump's Presidential Proclamation from December, 6th, 2017. He has repeatedly warned about the dangers of international community complicity with Hamas and Hezbollah, the insidious ways by which Iran funnels money to groups all across the world to spread terrorism under the disguise of "spreading the Islamic social justice revolution" – and has an extraordinary ability to deconstruct the lies about Israel. Additionally, US and Israel's enemies know that soon- to be Ambassador Mike Huckabee has President Donald Trump's ears, which significantly increases his political strength.
The best President Donald Trump's pick so far is John Ratcliffe as CIA Director. A former Congressman from Texas, he served as Director of National Intelligence for a period during Trump's first term, having shown a profound understanding of the threat that China and Iran represent for the United States and the Free World. John Ratcliffe is fully aware about the Iranian octopus spreading all across the Middle East, strategic spots in Africa and Europe, infiltrating critical sectors of western societies to subvert the values we hold dear. President Trump nailed his choice to lead the US prime intelligence agency: John Ratcliffe will carry on the work kicked off by Secretary Mike Pompeo (who has been a champion of President Trump's doctrine of "America First yet not alone" and, from my perspective, should have been appointed to serve as Secretary of Defense) and Director Bill Burns to make the CIA more agile, more effective, pursuing America's critical national security interests. This will improve US-Israel alliance to a great length: defeating the Iranian threat will require an enhanced cooperation between the Intelligence and Defense structures of both countries. John Ratcliffe was among the US Senators who urged the US Department of Justice to enforce the Foreign Agents Registration Act regarding Qatari Al Jazeera – a true intelligence agency working under the cover of a "media oulet". Fearing an investigation on its true nature and goals, Al Jazeera (which is to say: the Qatari Government) decided to shut down its branch in the US.
Additionally, John Ratcliffe has no doubts about the danger Russian President Vladimir Putin represents for the Free World – as well as Russian intelligence apparatus role in spreading anti-semitism (through, for example, the BDS Movement) and helping the Iranians infiltrating major European institutions and agencies. It´s time for President Trump to make the US, Israel and the Free World tired of winning again.
