The Hamas terror organization has warned it will execute hostages if the Israeli military attempts a rescue mission similar to the one conducted in Nuseirat camp last summer, according to a report released Wednesday by Reuters. The terror group claimed it had intelligence that Israel was planning such an operation.
An internal communication within Hamas, shared with its operatives, instructed them to disregard the consequences of carrying out the group's orders.

The statement emphasized that Israel would be responsible for the fate of the hostages. However, the message did not specify when such a mission might take place.
It has recently been revealed that the six hostages whose remains were returned to Israel were killed while in Hamas captivity, after Israeli airstrikes targeted an underground tunnel system near their location. The hostages – Alexander Dancyg, Yoram Metzger, Chaim Perry, Yagev Buchshtab, Nadav Popplewell, and Avraham Munder – were killed in a tunnel crossing, just like six other hostages who were murdered by Hamas terrorists in a Rafah tunnel: Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, Carmel Gat, Alexander Lobanov and Almog Sarusi.
