Israeli officials stood firm on Tuesday, in the wake of recent strikes in Lebanon and mounting international criticism, asserting that aerial surveillance operations over Lebanese airspace will continue to enforce the ceasefire agreement.

The declaration comes as a direct response to French diplomatic sources who contend that Israel's use of UAVs and other surveillance equipment in Lebanese airspace constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Official Israeli sources emphasized that the country will maintain its monitoring operations over Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah's weapons buildup, utilizing both aerial assets and other available surveillance capabilities.
The tensions escalated after Hezbollah broke the ceasefire Monday by launching two mortar shells at an Israeli military position on Mount Dov (Sheba Farms). The Israeli Air Force responded swiftly with strikes on multiple targets in southern Lebanon, with reports indicating several fatalities.
