Emergency services said 3 people died in a horrific crash early Tuesday north of Tel Aviv. The first call came at 4:37 a.m., reporting a severe collision between two private vehicles on Route 5 near the Kfar Hayarok interchange.
After firefighters and Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics reached the scene, they discovered both vehicles engulfed in flames, with three men trapped inside showing no vital signs.

Initial investigation indicates one vehicle was stolen. As Tel Aviv District Police traffic investigators collect evidence at the scene, early findings suggest the vehicle's driver spotted police presence and deliberately turned into oncoming traffic, leading to the fatal collision. The crash claimed the lives of both the driver of the stolen vehicle and two occupants in the other car.

MDA paramedics David Yitzhaki and Sara Cohen described the scene as follows: "We arrived to find an extremely severe accident. Three men were trapped in their vehicles, unconscious and suffering from burns. While rescue operations were underway, we conducted medical assessments, but their injuries proved catastrophic, and tragically, we had to pronounce their deaths. This is an absolute tragedy."
First responders found both vehicles consumed by flames with occupants trapped inside. Following the successful extinguishing of the fires, firefighters employed hydraulic rescue equipment to extract the three victims, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene by MDA personnel.
Fire Chief Almog Moyel said, "Upon arrival, we found one burning vehicle containing two trapped occupants and a second burning vehicle with another person trapped inside. After completing our firefighting operations, we extracted all three occupants, who showed no signs of life."
