Donald Trump, the newly elected President of the US, announced on Sunday evening that Massad Boulos would be appointed as Senior Advisor on Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs.
Boulos is a Lebanese-American Christian businessman, born in the village of Kfar Akkar in northern Lebanon. Early in his life, his family relocated to Texas, where he completed his studies at the University of Houston and earned a doctorate in law. In his career, Boulos became CEO of SCOA Nigeria, which operates across multiple sectors, including exporting used cars to Africa.

Boulos' relationship with Trump strengthened after his son, Michael Boulos, married Tiffany Trump in November 2022. During Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, Boulos oversaw the campaign's outreach to the Arab-American communities, focusing on key swing states like Michigan. His efforts were instrumental in rallying support from Arab-American voters.
His role Senior Advisor will involve representing the US in negotiations in efforts in the Middle East, including efforts to mediate a ceasefire in Lebanon amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
