Colonel Ehsan Daxa, commander of the 401st Armored Brigade, who had only taken up his position a few months ago, was killed in action in Jabalia, Gaza Strip. The tank the colonel was in hit an explosive device, along with another tank carrying a battalion commander from the same brigade.
Daxa, 41, a resident of the Druze city of Daliyat al-Karmel, was a highly respected and decorated officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). He enlisted in the Armored Corps in 2001 and rose through the ranks until his final position as commander of the 401st Brigade, to which he was appointed last June.

Throughout his career, he held a series of senior command positions, including commander of the 82nd Battalion, commander of the 532nd Battalion, and operations officer of the 7th Brigade. From 2021 to 2023, he commanded the Golan Division as a Brigadier General.
Daxa is survived by his wife and three children.
