In the aftermath of Hezbollah's Secratry-General Hassan Nasrallah's death, Lebanon's military issued a stern advisory on Sunday morning, urging citizens to refrain from "actions that might compromise civil peace." The armed forces also pointed fingers at Israel, accusing it of attempting to "sow discord" among the Lebanese populace.

Breaking from its usual stance, the Lebanese Army appealed for "national unity" following the Israeli strikes that resulted in Nasrallah's death, along with over a thousand others. The military's statement cautioned against "falling prey to actions that could undermine civil peace at this critical juncture in our nation's history." It further alleged that Israel is "actively working to implement its destabilizing agenda and foment division among the Lebanese people."
It was further stressed that the Lebanese Army is implementing measures to fulfill its responsibility of maintaining internal peace.
In related developments, Arab news outlets have broadcast footage showing one of the massive craters left by Friday's strike on Nasrallah and other Hezbollah commanders in the heart of Beirut's Dahieh district. Reports confirm that Nasrallah's remains have been identified and removed from the blast site.
