IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi called Tuesday morning not to halt the intensified action against Hezbollah. This comes against the backdrop of messages from the US to de-escalate tension and avoid ground operations.
Halevi said, "We must not give Hezbollah a respite. Continue working with full force. We will accelerate offensive actions today and reinforce all arrays. The current situation requires continued intense action on all fronts."
Additionally, the Saudi website Elaph reported that indirect contacts are being conducted through US mediation between Israel, Iran, and Hezbollah.
According to reports in the Saudi newspaper, an Iranian delegation arrived in a European country and its members met with senior American officials to find a formula that would allow both sides to cease fire.
A senior political source addressed reports in Arab media about contacts for a ceasefire, saying they were "absolute fake news."

It was also reported that Iran is pressuring Hezbollah not to use its arsenal of precision missiles, out of a desire to keep the weapons available for a possible response to an Israeli attack on Iranian territory.
According to the report, the American proposal passed to Hezbollah includes full implementation of UN Resolution 1701, including the deployment of the Lebanese army on the Israeli border, which would include American support.
