The thwarted plan: Senior Hezbollah figure Ibrahim Aqil, along with other senior commanders of the Radwan Force, planned a ground operation within Israel's territory during a meeting where he was killed in an airstrike by the Israeli Air Force in the Dahiya neighborhood of Beirut, according to a report by "Al-Monitor."
According to the report, which is based on a senior source close to the terrorist organization, members of the group gathered and planned an operation by the Radwan Force, Hezbollah's elite and offensive unit, "in the heart of the occupied territories" as a response to the explosion of the group's pagers last week.

The Israeli strike, which involved four missiles, precisely hit the parking lot and the second underground floor of the building, causing its collapse. Reports indicate that around 20 Radwan Force commanders were hit during the meeting, and the IDF confirmed that five out of the six leading battalion commanders present at the meeting were eliminated. Among those killed was Ahmad Wahbi, who was considered the acting commander of the Radwan Force following the elimination of his predecessor.
Aqil, who was a member of Hezbollah's Jihad Council and responsible for the tunnel network and the Radwan Force, was a key figure in the organization. The IDF spokesperson emphasized that Aqil and the commanders who were eliminated were among the architects of "the plan to conquer the Galilee," a plan that was similar in nature to the massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7th.
