Following reports suggesting that Germany was cutting back on arms export licenses to Israel, a senior official in the German parliament has dismissed claims of a deliberate strategy to limit weapons sales to Israel. "After consulting with my office, we have no knowledge of any companies being denied security export licenses to Israel," Klaus-Peter Willsch, a member of the Bundestag's Committee on Economic Affairs and an opposition lawmaker from the CDU, said. The spokesperson for the parliament's Export Affairs Committee echoed this sentiment, adding, "I endorse exports to Israel, just as I support exports to Ukraine. Both hold significant importance."

Willsch conveyed these remarks to Israel Hayom during a visit to Israel with a delegation of Bundestag members from committee. The group toured the northern frontier and made a stop in Kiryat Shmona. ELNET, an organization dedicated to bolstering Israel-Europe ties, coordinated the visit.
This rebuttal emerges against a backdrop of declining arms exports from Germany to Israel and follows reports in German and international media outlets suggesting that since March, the German government has not granted approval for arms export requests to Israel.
