A fierce rocket attack targeted the northern Israeli town of Katzrin on Wednesday morning, with at least one direct hit on a residential home, causing extensive damage. The assault, which involved approximately 50 rockets, left one man in his 30s with minor injuries and prompted the Israeli military to issue urgent safety instructions for residents across the region.

The elderly couple residing in the targeted home managed to reach a shelter moments before impact, narrowly escaping harm. Their house, however, was quickly engulfed in flames following the strike.

Emergency services have identified four separate impact sites within Katzrin. Fire and rescue teams are currently operating across multiple locations where rockets directly struck buildings. Their efforts are focused on extinguishing fires, conducting thorough searches for potential casualties, and checking for dangerous gas leaks.

In light of the attack, the Israel Defense Forces swiftly conducted a situational assessment. As a result, residents in numerous northern communities received instructions to take immediate precautionary measures: restrict their movements within their towns, avoid public gatherings, and remain in close proximity to shelters.
The Upper Galilee Regional Council confirmed the rocket barrage targeting Katzrin and the direct hit on a residential property. Photographs from the scene reveal the severe damage inflicted on the impacted home.
