As the Democratic National Convention (DNC) descends upon Chicago, the city braces for what many fear could be a repeat of the infamous 1968 riots. With Vice President Kamala Harris arriving to accept her formal nomination as the Democratic presidential candidate and President Joe Biden giving his farewell address, protesters are flooding into the Windy City, setting the stage for potential unrest.

Reports indicate a significant presence of Antifa members among the demonstrators, heightening concerns about possible violence and civil disturbances. The Chicago Police Department is already facing challenges, with officers being heckled by protesters even before the convention's official start.

Demonstrators are employing provocative tactics, including the symbolic use of abortion pills and carrying pointed banners. Notably, some protesters are holding signs saying "Bomb-ala Harris" and "Killer Kamala," reminiscent of the "Genocide Joe" slogans used against Biden. The prominent banner continues "Gaza is Speaking," a play on viral clips where Harris firmly shut down interruptions during her speeches. Pro-Palestinian crowds are chanting, "DNC, go home! Or we're gonna bring the war home!"
