The IDF and Shin Bet received verified information confirming his death beyond a doubt in recent hours.
As previously reported, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Mohammed Deif and Rafah Salama (the Khan Yunis Brigade commander) on July 13 in a precise operation by the IAF. This operation was based on an intelligence network assembled by Shin Bet and Military Intelligence.
Deif, a mass murderer who had previously survived several Israeli assassination attempts, planned and executed the October 7 massacre. He was responsible for developing Hamas' operational capabilities and had a significant amount of Israeli blood on his hands.
Since the July 13 strike, amid uncertainty and denials from Hamas regarding Deif's fate, the IDF closely monitored all new information about him.
Today (Thursday), in the past few hours, security forces received new information and evidence confirming that Mohammed Deif was indeed eliminated with absolute certainty.
