Six months after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, Yeshiva University convened its community for a gathering promoting solidarity and unity with the State of Israel.
Held at the university's Lamport Auditorium in New York City, the event featured several notable attendees and speakers, including Rachel Goldberg Polin and John Polin, parents of Israeli-American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who remains in captivity.
Also present was Louis Har, a former Israeli-Argentinian hostage who was freed from Hamas captivity in Rafah, Gaza in a daring Feb. 12 IDF operation. Har had been taken hostage from Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7.
Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, president of Yeshiva University, presided over the gathering alongside other university leadership, faculty, staff and students.
