The IDF provided Thursday an update regarding the ongoing anti-terrorism operations at the Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip. The latest raid has led to the apprehension of several high-ranking officials, having seemingly caught the Hamas terror group, who are known to use the hospital as a hide-out, by surprise.

Following intelligence gathered by the IDF and corroborated by the Shin Bet security agency, a targeted operation was conducted at Al-Shifa to apprehend senior. The raid resulted in the arrest of 600 terrorists, including key figures from Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, who were instrumental in orchestrating operations both in Gaza and the West Bank.

The operation has led to the identification and arrest of notorious figures such as Hoasem Salameh, responsible for surveillance operations, and Wasem Salameh, who oversaw the combat information system for the PIJ. High-ranking Hamas officials arrested include Amr Azida, who directed activities in the Nablus region; Mahmoud Kuasma, involved in planning and financing significant incidents; and Hamdallah Hasan Ali, linked to operations in the United States.
These individuals have been detained for further interrogation by the Shin Bet. The IDF reports that the operation at Al-Shifa is ongoing, with engagements still taking place.
The IDF also discovered an array of weapons and documents during the raid, which are expected to significantly aid in ongoing and future security operations in the region.
