"Israel allows extensive humanitarian aid into Gaza by land, air, and sea for anyone willing to help. Despite Hamas violently disrupting aid convoys and UNRWA's collaboration with them, we persist," Katz posted on Twitter, referring to suspicions of involvement in the Oct. 7 attack by employees of the UN agency for Palestinians.

Borrell had said that "in Gaza we are no longer on the brink of famine, we are in a state of famine, affecting thousands of people," Borrell said at the opening of a conference on humanitarian aid for Gaza in Brussels. This is unacceptable. Starvation is used as a weapon of war. Israel is provoking famine."
The foreign policy chief has made a series of anti-Israel statements since the outbreak of the Gaza war, following a brutal attack by the Hamas terror organization on southern Israel, in which 1,200 Israelis were killed, including women and children.
Most recently, he called on the US to rethink its military aid to Israel.
