The number of civilians killed in Gaza is among the most contested parts of the current conflict.
Gaza's Health Ministry, which is run by Hamas, has been accused of inflating the death count, especially the death toll among women and children, rather than men and terrorists. In addition, Hamas deliberately embeds itself in civilian infrastructure and under Gaza's cities.
Following Thursday's accusations, the military conducted a thorough investigation and called on international media to "only rely on credible information."
