A group of UNRWA teachers in Gaza posted on the Telegram social network shortly after the Oct. 7 atrocities, the organization UN Watch said in a new report.

The organization, which monitors the international body and its Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA, exposed the online group on Tuesday, showing that it contained messages from some teachers who work for UNRWA praising the perpetrators and celebrating the atrocities. Others shared graphic or insensitive content related to the attack.
Executive Director of UN Watch Hillel Neuer argued this indicates an alarming level of extremism among some UNRWA teachers. He shared examples of teachers glorifying violence, as well as posts appearing to encourage serving as human shields.

"This is the motherlode of UNRWA teachers' incitement to Jihadi terrorism," he said. "In addition, UNRWA teachers regularly share videos, photos, and messages inciting to Jihadi terrorism, and openly celebrating the Hamas massacre and rape of civilians," the organization said in its report.
