"Fighter jets of the Air Force recently attacked a series of targets of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanese territory. Among the targets that were attacked, terrorist infrastructures, launcher positions, military positions and military buildings of the terrorist organization Hezbollah," the IDF said in a statement. "In addition, a number of launches from Lebanese territory toward Israeli territory were detected earlier today, the IDF attacked the sources of the fire."
IDF confirms location of tactical pause, corridors for humanitarian purposes
The IDF Spokesperson for Arabic, Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, announced on Thursday morning the location of tactical pause for humanitarian purposes that will take place until the early afternoon, as well as corridors for movement.
"The Salah al-Din Axis constitutes a battlefield, so it is extremely dangerous to reach it!" the IDF spokesperson informed of the area in Khan Yunis.
"The IDF will allow humanitarian movement of civilians through the bypass axis located west of Khan Yunis," Adraee announced.
"Transportation from the Rafah and Khan Yunis area towards Deir al-Balah and the Central camps will be available through the following axes: Al-Rashid "Al-Bahr" Street - Al-Shuhadaa Street in Deir Al-Balah," he explained.
"There will also be a local and temporary tactical suspension of military activities for humanitarian purposes in the Al-Salam neighborhood in Rafah from 10:00 AM until 14:00 PM," the IDF spokesperson concluded.

Defense Ministry begins program to outfit Gaza border communities with additional equipment
The Defense Ministry announced Thursday morning that weapons and additional combat equipment were being distributed to security squads of the Gaza border communities, and the program will overtime arm additional communities and local authorities in other regions.
The program "will allow better conditions for the return of the residents to their communities in the upcoming weeks," the Defense Ministry said in its statement.
US investigating death and abduction of Americans on October 7 - report

IDF release details of attack on Hamas post in Jabalia camp, tunnel fighting
The IDF released an update on its activities in the Gaza Strip, particularly a raid on military post belonging to the terrorist organization Hamas in the Jabalia camp, as well as the Duvdevan special forces unit fighting near a tunnel shaft entrance.
"In Khan Yunis, terrorists were eliminated and dozens of terrorist targets were attacked by the Air Force," the activity report stated, pointing out that Duvdevan commandos encountered a squad of terrorists emerging from a tunnel shaft. The terrorist were killed and the shaft destroyed.
A military post belonging to the Jabalia Central Battalion of Hamas was raided, and several terrorists were killed, the IDF stated "The forces also located a network of underground tunnels leading outside the outpost, a training complex and a weapons warehouse in the area of the outpost."
"The forces of the sea arm, as part of assistance to the forces operating on land, attacked terrorist infrastructures and military compounds of the terrorist organization using precision weapons and firing shells," the statement concluded.

In response to rocket launches that hit several locations in central Israel, the IDF said fighter jets destroyed the launcher sites in Gaza, saying that terrorists from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were killed in the strikes.
An armed terrorist squad operating near a school in the northern Gaza Strip was eliminated. Furthermore, an underground shaft and other terrorist infrastructures were located in the area of the school.

US estimates the fighting in Gaza will last at least until the new year - report
Senior US officials have estimated that the IDF's ground maneuver in the southern Gaza Strip will last several weeks, possibly until January, according to a CNN report.
The report added that one of the senior officials said there's concern in the White House regarding the next phase of the IDF's ground campaign.

Sergeant First Class (res.) Yehonatan Malka, from Beer Sheba, was a fighter in the 82nd Armored Battalion. He fell in battle in the Gaza Strip, and was 23 years old at the time of his death.
Lieutenant Colonel Yochai Gur Hershberg, from Philip Farms, a commander of the Missing Persons Locating Unit in the Fire Brigade Division 98. He was killed in a military traffic accident in the south of Israel, and was 52 years old at the time of his death.
IDF issues apology: Soldiers from Lebanese army were hit by mistake, were not the target
"IDF soldiers operated in self defense to eliminate an imminent threat that had been identified from Lebanon. The threat was identified within a known launch area and observation point of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, near al-Awadi," the Israeli army explained in a statement.
"Hezbollah's activities in Lebanon are in clear violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701," the statement added.
"The IDF was notified that soldiers from the Lebanese Armed Forces were harmed during the strike. The Lebanese Armed Forces were not the target of the strike. The IDF expresses regret over the incident. The incident is under review," it concluded.
