The pro-Hamas hackers known as Anonymous Sudan have targeted several Western media outlets for publishing what they say were "lies and propaganda" about the Israel-Gaza war, head of the Cyber Intelligence Division at Radware, Ron Meyran, said this week.

Between Oct. 28-29, Anonymous Sudan targeted The New York Post (duration of attack: 3 hours), The Washington Post (duration of attack: 2 hours), and CNN's news website (duration of attack: 1 hour).
For each attacked and downed website, Anonymous Sudan provided digital proof that the site indeed went down and was unavailable during the attack (using a unique Check Host for each targeted site).
Anonymous Sudan is a group of activists from Sudan with religious and political motivations, conducting service disruption attacks against countries and organizations since January 2023.
