Days after the Chinese online fashion site Shein caused an uproar because it was selling the Palestinian flag but not the Israeli one, it appears that it is now severing ties with Israeli Instagram influencers due to the ongoing Gaza war.

The move could be in retaliation to the intense pressure and calls for boycotts from Israeli advocates online following the revelation that the e-commerce giant was selling the Palestinian flag only. The site has also stopped the free shipping option to Israel.

The hostile anti-Israeli stance's latest manifestation was in an email sent to influencers in Israel. The wording leaves no room for doubt that this is an all-but-permanent suspension of collaboration.
"Thank you very much for your support and love for Shein," the email sent to all the influencers in Israel read. "Due to adjustments to the campaign schedule, the publication date has been postponed. As such, please put a hold on your posts. We will provide an update regarding specific details and publication date later on. Thank you very much," it said.
