The group said it was closely following the situation in Gaza and was in "direct contact with the leadership of the Palestinian resistance."

Hamas killed at least 22 Israelis on Saturday morning as the terror group fired 2,500 rockets at the south and center and dispatched dozens of terrorists into communities located near the Gaza border. At least 545 Israelis were evacuated to hospitals across the country, the Health Ministry said.
