These include the Beit Keshet Forest, which gives a green color to the eastern slopes of the Nazareth mountains; the Forester's House Scenic Lookout (Mitzpor Beit HaYa'aran), a small stone house that tells the story of the beginning of the planting of forests in the area; the British Park (Britannia Park), located in the heart of the Judean Plain, with 40,000 dunams with hills covered with natural woodland, man-planted forests, and orchards; the Ilanot Forest, home to 350 species of trees; and The Forest of Angels (Yaar Hamalachim), where KKL-JNF has placed recreational campsites in the forest equipped with picnic tables, water taps, barbecue facilities and paved forest roads leading to them.
"International Dog Day, which will take place next weekend, is a wonderful opportunity to go to one of the KKL-JNF sites that are open to the general public together with your dogs and spend time in nature," Eli Yadid, director of public reception at KKL-JNF, said.
