The KKL-JNF published this week ahead of the Tu B'Av holiday, which is considered the Israeli "Valentine's Day," suggestions for hikes and picnics for couples.

According to the Mishna, Tu B'Av was a joyous holiday in the days of the Temple in Jerusalem, marking the beginning of the grape harvest. Unmarried girls of Jerusalem used to dress in white garments and go out to dance in the vineyards, aiming to find a suitable match.
Lea Pediah, public relations department manager at KKL – JNF said, "Especially for lovers, KKL-JNF has collected all romantic routes for trips in all parts of the country. We invite lovers to take a blanket, candles and a good bottle of wine, and go out to enjoy the wonders of nature."
