For Tel Aviv, which beat European cities such as Helsinki and Zurich, the site noted that it has a vibrant Middle Eastern vibe with a unique blend of rich cultural heritage, friendly locals, and a a whole gamut of opportunities for "food, shopping, and learning."
Tel Aviv's ranking is linked to its welcoming progressive atmosphere, making it an attractive destination for the LGBTQ+ community. Madrid, a tourist powerhouse in its own right, came in second due to its "vibrant colors, friendly people, stunning landscapes, architecture, and historical landmarks."
These features, the blog noted, make it a very happy place to stay and an attractive location for raising a family.
Fremont, which lies not far from San Francisco, is the third-happiest city on the site, in part because of its natural surroundings and rich history. The city's booming job economy, which includes a large presence of manufacturing corporations, plays a role in the overall happiness of its citizens.
San Jose, California, comes in fourth on the site, which cited its approximately 300 days of sunshine per year, progressive local government, and advocacy for equal rights. Stockholm came in fifth. With its thousands of islands and unique architecture, it has its special charm while giving its residents strong social welfare and support for families with children.
