Negotiations over the judicial reform are set to resume at the President's Residence Tuesday after being put on hold for about a week due to the IDF's campaign in the Gaza Strip.

Coalition officials told Israel Hayom that their goal is to pass some of the bills in the Knesset already in the current summer session. They expressed hope that talks with the Opposition will be successful but stressed their plan is to advance the legislation regardless.
At this point, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's instruction to the Coalition negotiating team to reach a consensus remains the same.
The Opposition has expressed discontent with the talks, and the lack of a clear deadline, in particular.
"We asked the president to create a binding headline and framework for the talks, in the hope that we would know where things said," an official familiar with the matter said.
The talks, which are led by President Isaac Herzog and began in late March, when Netanyahu put the judicial reform on hold to make way for negotiations with the Opposition, are yet to yield substantial results.
